International congress on “Peace, Women and Divine Religions” to be held

TEHRAN – An international, research and academic congress on “Peace, Women and Divine Religions” is to be held here February 20-21.
The event aims at studying peace as revealed in all the divine religions and its influence on women. This assembly will consider the triangular concept of peace, women and divine religions and their influence on women with regards to creating peace in societies.The congress is to be held with the cooperation of the Center of Women’s and Family Affairs, the Women’s Bureau, the Ministry of Information and Technology, organizations of Iranian religious minorities related to women’s affairs, as well as some governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Muslim, Zoroastrian, Christian and Jewish representatives from Iran and representatives of the countries of Austria, Germany, Lebanon, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq and Nigeria are to participate in the convention.
The participants will raise their viewpoints and worldly ideas aiming at securing people’s rights and benefits; they are also to study and compare the spiritual needs of human beings vis-à-vis generosity, dedication and devotion.
